Inside Information Platforms
List of Inside Information Platforms (IIPs) is maintained by ACER under REMIT, identifying all designated platforms where market participants must publish inside information related to wholesale energy markets. This includes transmission system operators (TSOs), power exchanges, and other approved channels responsible for disclosing information that could significantly affect energy prices, such as unplanned outages, capacity changes or supply disruptions. Ensuring timely and transparent disclosure, these platforms play a critical role in preventing market abuse and maintaining fair trading conditions.
Entities wishing to operate as IIPs must:
- meet ACER’s minimum technical and operational requirements;
- submit an application through the REMIT Portal (To be listed as an IIP, applicants are invited to consult the information on how to complete the application form and submit their request via the online IIP Application Form.); and
- maintain accurate information after approval.
From November 2027, this registration process will be replaced by a formal authorisation regime (under the Delegated Regulation).

Transparency Platforms
Transparency platforms under REMIT serve as centralised channels for publishing key wholesale energy market data. These platforms – including ENTSOG’s transparency platform for gas and ENTSO-E’s transparency platform for electricity – provide public access to fundamental data, such as capacity, flow, and system operation details, as well as inside information that may impact trading. By standardising disclosure, these platforms enhance market integrity, support informed decision-making, and help prevent insider trading.
